Terms and conditions

These terms cover work carried out by Sea Strong Marine, LLC for boat owners across Hampton Roads. By booking a service you agree to them. If anything here does not match what you were told, tell us and we will sort it out.

Quotes and pricing

Services are priced by the foot and quoted before any work begins. Published figures are starting prices. A boat in heavier condition than expected takes longer, and where that changes the number we tell you before we start rather than adding it to the invoice afterwards.

Paint work is quoted after we have come out and looked at the hull. That written scope, along with its price, is the agreement for that job.

Scheduling and access

Work is booked into a service window. Weather, tide and water visibility affect diving, and where a window has to move we contact you first and rebook it. Most work is carried out without you present, so you agree to give us the access we need, including marina gate codes or a contact at the dock.

Cancellation

Let us know at least 24 hours before a booked window if you need to cancel or move it. Recurring schedules can be paused or stopped at any time and nothing is locked into a fixed term.

Payment

Work is invoiced after it is completed and payable by card or bank transfer. Recurring customers are invoiced on the same cycle as the service. Paint work is the exception, because materials are ordered for your specific boat, and its terms are set out in the written scope.

Footage

Footage of your boat is recorded as part of the service and sent to you after each visit. We may use anonymised footage or images of work carried out to show what the service looks like. If you would rather we did not use footage of your boat, tell us and we will not.

Liability

Sea Strong Marine, LLC is licensed and insured for the work carried out. We are responsible for damage caused by our own negligence. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, for wear to coatings that were already failing, or for anything arising from the condition of a vessel that was not disclosed to us. Where we find something wrong during a visit we report it to you with the footage.
