Privacy policy

Sea Strong Marine, LLC collects as little as it can, and only what it needs to quote and carry out work on your boat. This page says what that is in plain terms.

What we collect

When you request a quote we collect your name, your phone number or email address, the length of your boat, the marina she is kept at, and what you need looking at. If you call or text us, we keep that conversation so whoever picks it up next knows where things stand.

What we do with it

We use it to send you a price, to schedule the work, to send you the footage and the invoice, and to contact you about your boat. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except the systems we use to run the business, which are our CRM and our email and invoicing providers.

Cookies and how we measure the site

Nothing that is not strictly necessary runs until you say it can. When you first arrive, every optional category is switched off, and it stays off unless you accept. Declining is a real choice here and not a button that hides a message: it stops the tags from loading rather than loading them and asking them to behave.

We keep a count of page views through Vercel, which is built into the hosting. It sets no cookies, follows nobody between sites and cannot identify you, so it runs either way. If we add Google Analytics later it will run only for visitors who have accepted.

The map on our contact page is loaded from Google, and Google sets cookies of its own when it does. That is why the map does not appear until you ask for it. If you would rather not, the link beside it opens the same map on Google’s own site instead.

You can change your mind at any point. Cookie settings at the foot of every page brings the choice back, and whatever you pick replaces what you picked before.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept for two years. Customer records and the footage from your visits are kept while you are a customer and for seven years afterwards, because a maintenance history is useful when a boat is sold.

Your choices

Ask us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it. Ask us to stop contacting you and we will. Email info@seastrongmarine.com or call (757) 453-4159 and it will be dealt with.
