When you request marine services or use First Mate, we may collect information concerning your vessel and its service history, including:

  • Marina, slip, or general vessel location;
  • Equipment, systems, and components installed aboard the vessel;
  • Maintenance records, inspections, estimates, invoices, receipts, and service notes;

  • Service appointments and maintenance schedules; and
  • Communications between boat owners, Sea Strong Marine, and participating service providers.


When you authorize a technician or contractor to access vessel information through First Mate, the authorized person may receive access to the information you have chosen to share. You are responsible for reviewing and managing the access you grant.


Booking and Payment Information

When you schedule or purchase services, we may collect:

  • Services purchased;
  • Transaction amount;
  • Billing contact information;
  • Payment status;
  • Invoice and transaction identifiers; and
  • Limited payment-method information, such as the card type and last four digits.

Payments may be processed by a third-party payment processor. We generally do not directly receive or store complete payment-card numbers, bank-account credentials, or payment security codes. The payment processor’s handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.

Do not submit passwords, complete payment-card details, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information through an artificial-intelligence prompt or general message field.


Artificial-intelligence-generated information is provided for informational support and should not replace a qualified marine inspection, manufacturer instructions, professional repair advice, or emergency assistance.


7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide requested services;
  • Maintain vessel and maintenance records;
  • Complete transactions;
  • Support customer accounts;
  • Meet legal, accounting, tax, insurance, and contractual requirements;
  • Resolve disputes;
  • Enforce agreements; and
  • Protect our services and users.
